CoCo-Pi getting started

CoCo-Pi brings a Linux desktop, emulators and development tools to your Raspberry Pi. The usual installation starts with a complete SD-card image.

Prepare your card

Follow the download, verification and SD-card writing guide.

Image being prepared

The selected image archive is CoCoPi-Community-Edition-64bit-2026-rc1.zip. It contains the matching .img and an MD5 checksum file. The new site's download link is not published yet.

Allow approximately 17.2GB for the ZIP and 35.8GB for the extracted image. If keeping both, allow at least 60GB of free computer storage to leave room for extraction. Use a 64GB or larger SD card; the original page recommends 128GB or larger. A 32GB card cannot hold this image.

The provided image checksum applies to the extracted .img, not the ZIP. The SD-card guide explains how to compare it before flashing.
