BMCoCo-Pi 0.1.0rc3 · Linux console and model downloads; Windows planned.
A first BASIC program
This small original example needs no downloaded software. At a CoCo BASIC prompt, type each line and press Enter:
10 CLS
20 PRINT "HELLO FROM BMCOCO-PI!"
30 FOR N=1 TO 5
40 PRINT N;" SQUARED IS ";N*N
50 NEXT N
RUN
Expected: a greeting and squared values 1, 4, 9, 16 and 25, then the BASIC
prompt. LIST displays the program; NEW clears it. Do not type NEW if you
need an unsaved program already in RAM. A reset/profile Apply also loses it.
This is a type-in example, not an automatically loaded disk/tape image. Putting
a .bas file into software/ does not add an ASCII BASIC loader. This exact
listing still needs its own recorded Pi acceptance run; the previously verified
hardware arithmetic example is PRINT 23*19 → 437.
