BMCoCo-Pi 0.1.0rc3 · Windows setup, Linux console and model downloads.
Downloads: BMCoCo-Pi 0.1.0rc3
This is an early Windows and Linux release candidate. Model packages contain boot files
and offline user guides; they are not raw .img files. System ROMs and games
are not included. Your GitHub account or access to private repositories is
not needed. Back up the destination card before fresh installation.
Linux setup
BMCoCoPiSetup-0.1.0rc3-console.pyz · BMCoCoPiSetup-0.1.0rc3-console.pyz.sha256
The guided console requires Python 3.10+ and standard Linux disk/privilege tools. Debian 13 and Ubuntu 22.04 checks passed. It is not a static binary; the old frozen GUI is not distributed. Follow Linux setup.
Windows setup
Windows x86-64 setup ZIP · SHA-256
Extract the complete ZIP and run BMCoCoPiSetup.exe. Python/Tk are included.
An optional console is in Console/BMCoCoPiSetupConsole.exe. Follow
Windows setup. Tested on Windows 11 x86-64; native
UAC/helper fresh-card installation, readback, safe ejection and Pi500 boot
passed. The program is unsigned. Full GUI/failure-path and independent-host
coverage remain incomplete; this is a release candidate for backed-up cards.
The public archive preserves every tested dev5 executable/runtime byte; only
guides, notices and release metadata changed.
Choose your exact Raspberry Pi
| Model | Download and SHA-256 | Validation |
|---|---|---|
| Pi 400 | BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-rpi400.zip · BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-rpi400.zip.sha256 | Earlier hardware development; this model package not freshly boot-tested |
| Pi 4 Model B | BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-rpi4.zip · BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-rpi4.zip.sha256 | Shared-family compatibility expected; not physically validated |
| Pi 500 | BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-rpi500.zip · BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-rpi500.zip.sha256 | Linux and Windows helper fresh-card installation and boot confirmed |
| Pi 5 | BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-rpi5.zip · BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-rpi5.zip.sha256 | Shared-family compatibility expected; not physically validated |
Pi 3B+ is not included in this release. Do not substitute another model's ZIP. Pi4/Pi5 support is based on the corresponding tested hardware families; that is not a claim of testing on those exact boards.
Source and licenses
BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-sources.tar.gz · BMCoCo-Pi-0.1.0rc3-sources.tar.gz.sha256
Windows setup source ZIP · SHA-256
The Windows-specific source archive supplies the exact tested application sources and public packaging tool; it is also included inside the Windows ZIP. The larger source tarball above supplies the kernels, Linux setup and pinned platform dependencies.
Original project code is GNU GPL version 3. The source archive includes the selected engineering revisions, setup code, pinned dependencies, build entry point and retained third-party licenses. Both kernel families were rebuilt from exported sources without private Git access; byte-identical reproduction is not claimed. Model ZIPs also contain component notices. Supply your own system ROMs.
Verify each downloaded file with its published SHA-256 before installation. A checksum detects a mismatch; it is not a digital publisher signature.
